The deadline for each Step is set in the properties screen of the Step within the flow chart. Various settings, such as a certain period after the Task was created or at a specific date and time, are available. It is not necessary to set the deadline time, but it will be listed in [My Tasks] of the person responsible, so it will help users to prioritise their tasks.
1. Choosing Deadline Time (Optional)
- a. Elapsed time from the occurrence of the matter
- Specify in minutes (e.g. 120 minutes [2 hours], 1440 minutes [1 day])
- b. Elapsed time from the moment the process arrived
- Specify in minutes (e.g. 120 minutes [2 hours], 1440 minutes [1 day])
- c. Datetime-type Data
- Time entered in Date-time or Date-type Data Item (e.g. 'Desired Time of Completion')
- There is a limit of 1 to 1000000 minutes when setting the elapsed time
- When [Date-type data] is set as the deadline, the time will be set as '23:59'.
- Deadlines requiring complex calculations will need automated Tasks such as a [Service Task] or [Script Task]

2. Setting Behavior of Issues when reaching the Deadline (Optional)
- a. Terminating the Whole Process
- Set [Action at Deadline] to "ON", and then connect [Boundary Event] to [End Event]
- b. Proceed to the Next Step
- Set [Action at Deadline] to "ON", and then connect [Boundary Event] to a downstream Step
- [Action at Deadline] is an optional setting to force progress without waiting for the input of the Operator
- In BPMN it is referred to as a [Timer Boundary Event], which will activate the "timer" at the deadline time

A. Automatic Processing Upon the Task's Deadline
Set a deadline time of the auto-Step in the data assignment format (Reference formula).
