Record Start Time button

In the detail screen for Tasks I have accepted I notice that prior to operating the task there is a button labelled "Record Start Time".

I can see that clicking this button will set the Start Time of the task to the time that the button was clicked, same as if the Operate Task button had been clicked. However, it's not clear what the purpose of this button is and I can find no reference to it in your documentation.

Can you tell me what practical uses there are for the Record Start Time button?

  This is a kind of legacy feature.

  It's used when preparatory work is required before filling out the task form. If the preparatory work is a part of the task, an operator clicks a button before starting the preparatory work.

  As you know, clicking the "Operate Task" button can also records the start time. However, using the "Record Start Time" eliminates the need to open and quit the Operate Task screen.
