- Question.
- Can I post to the enterprise social network (Open Chat) from a Workflow operating screen?
- Answer.
- Yes, you can.
You can post a message in association with a particular Issue, or view the messages related to it.
Open Chat, an in-house enterprise social network is installed as standard in Questetra.
Although there are many social networking services such as Yammer, Chatter, Talknote, etc. Questetra's Open Chat has the characteristic that it can be used together in cooperation with the Workflow for business processing.
Then, how is it linked?
The point is the "Topic" which can be given to an Open Chat post.
To display related messages on the Workflow operating screen
On the Task Operating screen, click on [Open a conversation about this] to display a list of posts for which the same Process ID is set as a topic.
Even on the Task Operating screen you can check the interactions that took place before the Task came to you, or the messages from the person who handled the upstream operation in the Workflow.
(The related messages are also displayed on the Task Details screen.)
To post a message from the Workflow operating screen
You can also post to Open Chat on the Task operating screen as well as displaying messages on it.
Upon posting, the Process ID will automatically be given as a Topic, so that a series of posts are saved in association with the Process (Issue).
(Topic: Typically it is assigned to a message by entering "#topic name".)
To confirm details of work in Open Chat screen
Of course, messages posted from the task operating screen are also displayed on the normal [Open Chat] screen (timeline) like other messages.
Messages that are posted and associated with a Process will have the Process ID assigned as a Topic (e.g. p1234 Process name Title).
Clicking on the Topic displays a list of posts with the same Topic on the right side, and if the Process ID is given, it will also display the summary of the Process and a link to the Process detail screen.
In this way, you can check the details of an Issue with a simple operation from the Open Chat screen.
