[Discussion-type data] is a slightly unusual Data item. All data can be rewritten in the downstream Steps, but you can only append information in a Discussion-type Data Item. Also when you write to the [Discussion-type], the user name and time of posting is appended automatically. It is useful for communication on a project, or recording the status. In addition to [Discussion-type data], closed project communication can also be carried out in the Collab Chat Case channel.
1. Usage Example of [Discussion type Data]
- a. Internal Communication
Writing notes that are peculiar to the issue, or encouragement for working on the issue
- b. Recording of Atypical Information
Fill in the remarks or reference information that is hard to pre-defined as a data format
- c. Recording of process (Single process, single person)
Recording the actions that made on the issue in a time series (eg.: 'Made confirmation about the spec on the telephone'
- d. Recording of process (Single process, multiple people)
Recording the opinions of more than one person (e.g.: Cooperative Processing on "Team Swimlane")
- e. Recording of process (Multiple processs, multiple people)
Appending ever changing information in each Step (e.g.: "Weather forecast for the day of the event"
2. Inputting to [Discussion type Data]
- 1. Typing into Input field
Type in the input field under display area
- 2. Click on the [Send]
Inputting Username and appended time are recorded automatically (Display area is updated)
- Unlike the other data types, data is saved by clicking on the [Send] button (Data is sent to the server)
- It is also possible to transmit data in a plurality of times during one operation (Handling)
- If there remains unsent data in "Input field" of Discussion type, it will be sent together with other data items when transmitting
- There is no [Send] button on input from the smartphone (It will be sent at the same time as the overall transmission)
- Individual pieces of data cannot be deleted once they have been posted
- If you delete a Case, the data will be deleted along with other data items
3. Post to the [Case Channel]
- 1. Open the [Case Channel]
Click the [Conversation about this] button at the top of the [Details] page
- 2. Post to the [Case Channel]
Write your message in the input area and click the [Post Comment] button
- Posting differs from posting to [Discussion-type Data] in the following ways:
- You can post and delete posts at any time, even when you are not processing the Task
- You cannot use posts as filter conditions in Case and task searches
- You can search for posts within and across channels on the [Collab Chat] screen
- You can also access them from the side menu of the [Collab Chat] screen

Open the [Collab Chat] screen, select the desired channel and post a comment
- Depending on the channel type, the following types of communication are possible:
- Limited to a specific Organization
- Limited to specific business App administrators
- Limited to designated users
- Visible to all users
